MAY 2017 KIDS HAPPENINGS
Hello Church Family,
Mark 9:35: “And he sat down and called the twelve. And he said to them, If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.” Mark 10:45, Jesus said: “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Scripture shows that we are called to serve and to put others before us. I pray that we don’t come to church to be served or arrive to ask, “what does this church have to offer me and my family”, but instead we come to church with an attitude of, “where can I be the hands and feet and make a difference in the life of the church.” When we choose to be obedient to Gods commands for us, we will have much to gain.
As our children’s ministry is working towards a new format starting in August. We will have many opportunities for everyone to be involved that has a heart for children. I, along with our current teachers, am excited about the new experience our children will have on Sunday mornings. We know that it takes commitment from our congregation to say that they will serve our children and their families by teaching, assisting, or helping with music. This isn’t something that will happen on its own. It takes each person to search their heart and decide if they would be willing to sacrifice their time and commit to serving our church.
