The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering (AAEO) kicks off in April! The Easter Offering for North American missions is named for Annie Armstrong, a tireless advocate for giving, praying, and going to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with those who did not know Him.
Annie Armstrong was born in 1850 in Baltimore, Maryland. While her opportunities were limited as a woman, she was dedicated to Christ and led a life of service and leadership. She organized woman to pray, give, and meet needs. As the first executive director of Woman’s Missionary Union, Annie challenged pastors and churches to action and rallied vital support for missionaries.
In 1934, because of her trailblazing and visionary leadership, the offering started in 1895 was renamed in her honor.
One hundred precent of monies given to the AAEO go directly to the more than 3,000 missionaries with the North American Mission Board (NAMB) in America, Canada, and the US territories of Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, and American Samoa. More than 11,000 churches have been planted by these missionaries since 2010.
The AAEO targets a total population of 371 million people, of which 281 million are unsaved. They speak a total of 350 languages.
